Embroidery is a method of apparel printing where a needle and thread is used to stitch designs onto a garment. We use machines that can sew 1,000 stitches per minute and magnetic hoops to secure hats or shirts to the embroidery machines. If you need to put your logo or brand mark on a polo shirt or hat, embroidery is the way to go. We can also use embroidery to decorate jackets, backpacks, beanies and more.
We have a minimum of 24 pieces per design for embroidery services. If the design stays the same throughout the order, we can usually apply embroidery across multiple products to meet the minimum. For example, applying the same logo/design on 12 hats and 12 polos would meet the 24 piece minimum.
When you submit a logo or design, we digitize the artwork to prepare it for embroidery. This process takes 1-2 business days and will enable us to provide a price quote based on the amount of stitches in the design. We do not charge any fees for digitizing.
Our current estimated production time for embroidery is 10-14 business days from approval of quote and payment.
You can easily upload artwork when you select a product. If you are having trouble uploading your designs, try compressing it into a .zip file first.
Preferred file formats: Vector (.ai, .eps) – Text converted to outlines -OR- 300dpi Raster at print size (jpg, png, psd, tif)
We can take all kinds of designs and logos and digitize them for embroidery, but it can be difficult to make small text and fine details look good. We will always let you know if your logo may be better suited for a different print method based on the details in the design.
3D Embroidery: 3D embroidery is achieved by putting a layer of foam underneath the stitches to give the design a raised effect. A good example of this method of embroidery is in Major League baseball caps. The setup process and materials are a bit different than with flat embroidery, so you can expect this method to cost more than the standard option.
Sew Out: Want to see what your design will look like before we begin production? We can send an image of a test sew out for you to approve for a nominal fee.
Individual names and numbers: Want to add names or numbers to your custom apparel? We can handle that! The minimum order quantity for embroidering custom names and numbers begins at 50 pieces.
